Paul D. Kartchner, MD, MPH

 

A native of Southern Arizona, Dr. Kartchner attended the University of Arizona for both undergraduate and medical school. He completed a residency in family medicine at St. Louis University and later received a degree in public health from Johns Hopkins University. 

 

Following medical school, Dr. Kartchner served ten years on active duty in the United States Air Force. During this time, he participated in numerous overseas assignments, including multiple humanitarian missions to the Amazon Basin and deployments to Iraq and the Horn of Africa. He later served as a flight surgeon in the 162nd Fighter Wing of the Arizona Air National Guard. He provided medical support for F-16 and MQ-9 aircrew before retiring from military service.

 

He currently serves with the Southern Arizona Rescue Association, an all-volunteer search and rescue organization under the direction of the Pima County Sheriff's Department. He participates regularly in overseas medical missions and has practiced medicine in fourteen countries and five continents. 

 

Dr. Kartchner is a 2015 Honoree of the "Tucson 40 Under 40 Award" by the Arizona Daily Star and the Tucson Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. His medical interests include travel and tropical medicine, chronic disease management, and preventive medicine.

Dr. Kartchner was born in Tucson and raised in nearby Benson. He is fluent in Spanish and loves to travel. He and his wife Jeanie are the parents of four children. 

      

Moechia Reeves, MA

 

Moechia ("Moe") Reeves is the practice's office manager and medical assistant. She is a graduate of Galen College in Louisville, Kentucky.  She received her training as a medical assistant at Pima Medical Institute where she graduated with honors. Moechia has an extensive background in customer service with over 20 years of experience.

 

A native of Kentucky, Moechia moved to Arizona in 2010 with her husband and four children. 

      

Jeanie Kartchner

 

Jeanie is the practice's compliance officer and backup medical assistant. She is a Tucson native and completed her associate's degree through Eastern Arizona College and her bachelor's degree in Business Management through the University of Phoenix. She is the proud mom of 4 children and has had the privilege of exploring the world with her husband.

When she is not in the office she teaches aqua aerobics at local gyms, coaches Special Olympic athletes, gardens, sings and reads.
